Autism Intervention Program

Offering Support To Children Diagnosed with Autism

What Is It?

South East Region Autism Intervention Program

Through our partnership with Pathways for Children and Youth, Kingston; we provide the Intensive Behaviour Intervention program for the counties of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.

Children diagnosed with Autism and assessed to be eligible for this provincial service receive 15+ hrs of individualized instruction in their natural setting and transition supports upon graduation. Families also benefit from Parent Training opportunities incorporated within the program.

Who Are We?

Carol Spearman, Clinical Supervisor, North
Carol began her career working with preschool children and has continued to do so since 1990. Carol is one of the original Instructor Therapists from the time of the program’s inception. After receiving her certification as a Behaviour Analyst she moved into her current position, providing supervision to therapists working in the northern area of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. Carol also teaches at the post-secondary level. Carol is the parent of three children and is enjoying the challenges and successes that arise from being part of the Autism team.

Maxine Weber, Clinical Supervisor, South
Maxine has been working in the field of special needs for over 25 years, her particular areas of focus being Autism and Learning Disabilities. She joined the Autism Intervention Program early in its development in 2001 and has worked in a supervising capacity with the program since 2002. She has enjoyed being part of the program’s growth and development. Maxine lives in Portland with her busy family. She provides supervision to therapists working in the southern area of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.

We are proud to present our team of dedicated Instructor Therapists. Located throughout the three counties these talented instructors bring with them diverse backgrounds of education and experience. This compilation of provincially trained and skilled therapists provide intensive daily therapy in the child’s natural environment with the supervision and support of the Clinical Team.
